Ice climbing in Toppila, Oulu
Ilkka U. took some photos with my camera while I was climbing the man made ice fall in
Toppila, Oulu. The ice fall has two towers, small and big. The bigger is 22 meters high
if I remember correctly.
In the middle of the smaller tower.
Approaching the top.
And coming down.
The big one is tough and the sun has not made the ice softer.
It's hard to get a grip on the ice. Pieces keep coming off.
This is about as high as I managed to climb the bigger tower.
